Visualizing BIM Data with Revit and Power BI
Make your Revit data come alive!
Revit allows us to create detailed building models full of valuable data. Often this data is only made visible through drawings and schedules. While these documents are useful, they do not always help us understand what’s really going on in our models
Is there a way we can use Revit to better visualize our building data? Are there capabilities inherent to Revit that make it useful in this capacity? How can we harness the power of data visualization so we can make better decisions and create better buildings?
In this mini-course, we'll talk about the tremendous value of visualizing your building data, beyond the traditional methods of drawings and sections. We'll talk about the types of visualizations and how we can apply them to our own project data. More specifically, we'll look at visualizing Revit parameter values using Revit's built-in tools. We'll also look at visualizing Revit data outside of the model using Microsoft Power BI.
